MINOR  TATTOO  POLICY

Here at TRX we are all about expressing and adorning yourself, and for some that starts at a younger age than others. Our Minor Tattoo Policy outlines our rules for documentation requirements for minors seeking tattoos to ensure their safety, parental consent, and age requirements for a fabulous and positive experience.

WHAT WE NEED

1.   Legal Parent/Guardian Consent & Supervision during entire procedure

2.  Parent/Guardian's Valid Photo ID (State Issued or Passport)

3.  Minor's Photo ID (Including the following)

*Minors ID MUST include their photo as well as their first & last name on the same document

  • State ID Card (Permit/Drivers License)

  • Military ID

  • Passport

  • School ID/School Portal*

  • Child Safety Card*

  • Library/YMCA Card*

  • Yearbook from the last 2 years*

4. If the parent/guardians last name is different from the minor being pierced we will ADDITIONALLY need a birth certificate or marriage license/divorce papers/adoption papers to verify you are the minors parent/guardian.

5. If the minor is identified as an emancipated young adult, they will need to bring the Emancipation paperwork.

Parents and guardians will need to be present during the entire tattoo procedure with their minor. There are certain placements that will not be allowed to be tattooed on minors as well including but not limited to face, neck, chest, torso, pelvis, hands, and feet.

With all of that covered we have an artist happy to work with minors! If you have any questions about documentation, guardianship perameters, or anything else; please feel free to reach out to us at the shop and we can help answer any questions you might have!

***Age requirement minimums vary based on the artist. Please check each artists preferences before booking.***
